Fun, Educational Activities For Parents And Children
Children who receive lots of positive attention from the adults in their lives are more likely to develop a clear system of values and live a productive and satisfying life. Take a break from homework, housework, or wasting time and have some fun together! (There will be learning, too!)

Use a regular deck of cards.  Shuffle and deal one card to each player to deplete the deck with all players having the same number of cards.  Any left over cards should be placed face-up in the center of the table.

The player to the right of the dealer starts by choosing any card from his or her hand and laying it face down on the table.  The next player to the right lays down a matching card (if possible) and calls out “Ready”.  The next player in turn with a matching card, reveals it and calls out, “Steady”.  The fourth card of the set is then presented with the word, “Done!”

The player who called out “Done!” chooses the card to start the next round.

The player whose hand runs out first wins.
