Fun, Educational Activities For Parents And Children
Children who receive lots of positive attention from the adults in their lives are more likely to develop a clear system of values and live a productive and satisfying life. Take a break from homework, housework, or wasting time and have some fun together! (There will be learning, too!)

Unbend a paperclip, smooth out all the bumps and then fold it in the middle to form a V.  Make one for each contestant in the race.  Give each contestant a table knife and have them hold it in one hand over a table with the blade down.  Place the paperclip at the top edge of the knife where the handle meets the blade. 

At the shout of "Go", all contestants must lower their paperclips toward the table so that the ends of the paperclips are touching the top of the table, but the hands of the players are not in contact with the table at all.

The challenge for the players is to keep their hands perfectly still so that the paperclip does not move down the end of the knife and fall off.  The player whose paperclip stays on the knife the longest is the winner.
