For Parents And Children
Children who receive lots of positive attention from the adults in their
lives are more likely to develop a clear system of values and live a
productive and satisfying life. Take a break from homework, housework, or
wasting time and have some fun together! (There will be learning, too!)
Math And Art – The Line And Shape Game
Types of lines:
- Vertical
- Horizontal
- Slant
- Curve
- Wavy
- Zigzag
Types of shapes:
- Circle
- Oval
- Square
- Rectangle
- Triangle
- Trapezoid
- Parallelogram
- Pentagon
- Hexagon
- Octagon
Everyone starts with a piece of paper and a drawing utensil. Players take turns calling out a type of line or a type of shape. As the lines and shapes are called out, everyone draws the named object onto his or her paper. Each player will develop an idea for a final picture. Unexpected lines or shapes called out by other players will challenge the creativity of the players.
