Scents And Emotions - Different Responses

The smell of chalk dust makes me feel energized and alert. My husband, Pete, who suffers from dyslexia has a completely opposite reaction to that scent.

A person who grew up on a ranch and is a skilled equestrian (my cousin) reacts to the smell of hay and manure quite differently from the townie who considers a horse to be more beast than pet (me).
