Bake Cookies – Chocolate-Chip Walnut Chewies

Chocolate-Chip Walnut Chewies

12 tablespoons margarine
1/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/4 cup quick oatmeal
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 cups flour
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Mix together margarine, sugar, and eggs..
  3. Stir in oatmeal.
  4. Sprinkle nutmeg and baking powder evenly over the top of the batter.  Stir well to mix completely.
  5. Add flour and mix well.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips and walnuts.
  7. Drop onto cookie sheet in 1 inch balls.
  8. Bake in oven at 350 degrees until lightly brown (about 10 minutes).
