Fun, Educational Activities For Parents And Children
Children who receive lots of positive attention from the adults in their lives are more likely to develop a clear system of values and live a productive and satisfying life. Take a break from homework, housework, or wasting time and have some fun together! (There will be learning, too!)

• First each person draws a picture that includes outlined shapes that can be colored in.  (You can also choose to use coloring sheets) 
• Next choose several colors (crayons, markers, paint) that will be used to color your drawing. 
• Assign each of your chosen colors a number.
• Create a key that illustrates which colors are represented by which numbers.
• Write the numbers of the corresponding colors in the spaces of your drawing.
• Exchange your color-by-number drawings with another artist.
• Follow the color key to place the correct color into each numbered space.

Don't be surprised if someone chooses to have some unconventional colors for familiar objects.  (Why not have an orange sky and a purple tree?)
