canned, diced tomatoes, undrained
tomato sauce
grated Parmesan cheese

diced onion
grated Mozzarella cheese
side salad

Grocery Shopping List for Open-Faced Italian Sandwich

Directions

  1. Brown sausage in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce and Parmesan cheese. Simmer over low heat.
  3. Split hoagie roll and toast under a broiler.
  4. Top toasted roll with meat sauce, diced onion and grated Mozzarella cheese.
  5. Serve with side salad.
