Career Choices - Do What You Love

The master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play.... He simply pursues his vision of excellence at whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he's always doing both.
--James Michener

So far, in this life of mine, I've held a variety of different jobs.  The jobs that were merely a paycheck, scant reward for hours of uninspiring drudge work (inventory control at a garden supply store...25 garden hoses received... 8 sprinklers sold....YAWN!).  The opportunity to build organizational and people skills (management positions).  The rewarding years I spent shaping the youth of tomorrow (elementary school teacher).  And now the chance to nurture my own dream working with my son Alex on What's For Dinner?

Without a doubt, those jobs that required creativity and gave the reward of personal growth were my favorites.  Which careers do you think would offer you the most enjoyment?

Here is an interesting concept, try on a new career during your next vacation.

The Foods We Eat - Exploring Texture

I'll admit it, I'm a texture eater.  I'm not fond of shellfish because of the springy texture.  I love nuts and raw carrots because of the crunch.  I must have Freestone peaches instead of Cling because of the difference in texture.

What are some of your preferences regarding food texture?  Have a texture category challenge:  how many creamy foods can you name, how many crumbly?
