Similes - Contradictions
My dad, what a joker, always liked to
say that things were clear as mud when he didn't understand something.
Or if his eggs got cold, he would say that they were as warm as a snowball.
Have fun creating similes that make a contradictory statement.

Yawning - Why Do We Do
It?
When I was a child, we had a little Chihuahua we named
Dinky. Whenever Dinky yawned, he made a funny squeaky sound that we
all found delightfully entertaining. Dinky was also highly susceptible
to yawn contagion. All we had to do was yawn once or twice and he
would let out a big yawn complete with cute little squeak. We loved
it.
Do you ever find yourself unable to stifle a yawn just
after someone else yawned? Why is that? Why do we yawn in the
first place?
