Highly Effective People - Sharpening The Saw

Many, many books have been written offering advice on how to improve your life. One of the best, in my opinion, is The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen R. Covey. The 7th habit is what the author refers to as "Sharpening the Saw".

What does that mean to the members of your family: Sharpening the Saw?

Play A Word Game - Tom Swifties

"I was here first," said Tom swiftly. "Where's my knife?" asked Tom sharply.

The two example above are commonly called Tom Swifties. They are fun to create. First think of an adverb (an adverb is used to modify a verb and most end in ly) and then think of a concept to which that adverb could apply. In the first example, a swift person would win a race. In the second example, a knife is sharp.
