Tall Tales – Use Of Exaggeration


Storytellers often use exaggeration to make a point. Most readers find tall tales to be humorous, but they can also be intended to frighten. Examining tall tales can be an enriching experience and help build writing skills of students. Expose your child to the way authors can use exaggeration like a magnifying glass to enlarge certain aspects of the story and provoke emotion in the reader.
